The Member for Marakwet West (Hon. Timothy Kipchumba, MP) to ask Cabinet Secretary for Lands, Public Works, Housing and Urban Development: - Could the Cabinet Secretary – (i) provide a list indicating sizes and current registered owners of parcels of land within Kapsowar Town which were compulsorily acquired in 1998 for the construction of headquarters of then Marakwet District? (ii) clarify whether owners of the parcels of land compulsorily acquired for construction of the headquarters have since been adequately compensated? (iii) provide a status of the de-gazzement of part of Sogotio Forest Block in Chebara, Marakwet West Constituency where those whose land was compulsorily acquired in Kapsowar Town were settled and continue to do so without title deeds?
