The Member for Kajiado South (Hon. Samuel Parashina, MP) to ask the Cabinet Secretary for Tourism and Wildlife: - Could the Cabinet Secretary— (i) explain the cause of death of sixteen (16) elephants in the Amboseli Ecosystem between 24th June and 31st July 2026 and the status of investigations, including any toxicological tests done to ascertain the cause of death by the Kenya Wildlife Service or any other government agency? (ii) state the urgent action being taken to prevent further deaths in the Amboseli Ecosystem by the Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife? (iii) state the measures taken by the Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife to prevent further wildlife deaths in the Amboseli Ecosystem? (iv) outline the measures being taken to support farming and pastoralist communities in Kajiado South Constituency affected by the deaths, including addressing loss of tourism- related livelihoods and any adverse effects arising from allegations concerning the deaths.
