Nabwera Nabii, MP) to ask the Cabinet Secretary for Ministry of Education: - Could the Cabinet Secretary – (i) explain the disciplinary and legal action that the Ministry has taken against the management of Pwani University for their negligence in allowing an unserviced and uninsured University bus to ferry students all the way to Eldoret from Mombasa leading to the death of eighteen students and scores injured on 4th April 2023? (ii) explain why the University did not extend any kind of support towards the funeral arrangements of the students who perished yet they were to represent the University in the Kenya Universities Sports Association (KUSA) Games held in Eldoret? (iii) state plans instituted by the University and the Government to compensate families of the victims who perished and rehabilitate those who sustained various injuries as a result of the accident?
