Beatrice Elachi, MP) to ask the Cabinet Secretary for National Treasury and Economic Planning: - Could the Cabinet Secretary clarify whether the Ministry intends to remove the 2% import fee levied on raw materials imposed under the Crops (Nuts and Oil Crops) Regulations, 2020 (Legal Notice No. 164) which resulted to an increase in the cost of these products destined for exports thereby rendering them less competitive in their destination markets such as the DRC, Somalia, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Zambia and South Sudan amongst others?
