The Member for Balambala (Hon. Abdi Shurie, MP) to ask the Cabinet Secretary for National Treasury and Economic Planning: - Could the Cabinet Secretary – (i) clarify whether it is appropriate for businesses to refuse cash payments, which is still recognized as a legal tender? (ii) state the measures in place to accommodate citizens who do not have access to digital payment systems such as M-pesa, online payment platforms or credit/debit cards such as Visa or MasterCard?
