The Member for Nakuru Town East (Hon. David Gikaria, MP) to ask the Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture and Livestock Development: - Could the Cabinet Secretary – (i) clarify whether the fish in River Ndarugo that traverses through Nakuru Town East and Nakuru Town West Constituencies are safe for human consumption? (ii) provide the status application by youths of Nakuru Town East and Nakuru Town West Constituencies to be allowed to fish in River Ndarugo? (iii) highlight measures that the Ministry is putting in place to commercialize fishing in River Ndarugo thereby providing youths and residents of Nakuru Town East and Nakuru Town West Constituencies with a viable economic activity? (iv) explain how the Ministry plans to ensure that River Ndarugo is free of pollution from release of untreated industrial effluents?
