Question

The Member for Nyandarua County (Hon. Faith Wairimu Gitau, MP) to ask the Cabinet Secretary for Roads and Transport: - Could the Cabinet Secretary – (i) clarify whether there was termination of Contract No: KeNHA/321/2011, repair of Mombasa – Miritini Highway, which had been duly awarded to M/s Talewa Road Contractors Limited? (ii) explain why KeNHA illegally took-over a yard belonging to M/s Talewa Road Contractors Limited despite the absence of a court order to authorize the take-over, which also included ransacking of construction equipment and motor vehicles including pick-ups, a saloon car and tipping trailers which were later auctioned by KeNHA resulting in losses exceeding Ksh 800 million?
