The Member for Butula (Hon. Joseph Maero Oyula, MP) to ask the Teachers Service Commission: - (i) clarify whether there is understaffing both in primary and secondary schools in Butula Sub-county given the high level of student enrolments? (ii) explain why in the recently concluded teachers’ recruitment only three applicants out of one hundred and sixty (160) qualified applicants from Butula Sub- County were taken despite the high turnover of teachers who should be replaced? (iii) outline the affirmative action put in place to ensure that qualified teachers hailing from Butula Sub- County are employed to mitigate the understaffing of teachers both in the short term and long term?
