Mwengi Mutuse, MP) to ask the Cabinet Secretary for Lands, Public Works, Housing and Urban Development: - Could the Cabinet Secretary – (i) explain reasons for delayed payment of compensation to residents whose land was compulsorily acquired for the construction of Kibwezi – Kitui Road and parking for lorries in Kibwezi Town in 2017? (ii) state when owners of the compulsorily acquired parcels of the land and plots will be compensated and whether the National Lands Commission has any plans to review the compensation upwards given that payment has been delayed since 2017?
