Gabriel Kagombe, MP) to ask the Cabinet Secretary for Education: - Could the Cabinet Secretary – (i) Outline specific measures being pursued by the Government to ensure that children with Autism/Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) obtain equal access to education? (ii) State the modalities used by the Ministry and the Kenya National Examinations Council in availing alternative examination modes or avenues for autistic children who are not able to undertake written examinations? (iii) Confirm is the Ministry intends to incorporate Oral Assessment of autistic children in the Competence- Based Curriculum (CBC) as well as the engagement of teachers who are specifically trained to handle children with autism?
