The Member for Mombasa County (Hon. Zamzam Mohammed, MP) to ask the Cabinet Secretary for Education: - Could the Cabinet Secretary – (i) explain why the education system in Kenya is still not inclusive ranging from buildings and social amenities that have not complied with the minimum accessibility standards for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), inadequate training programmes from which PWDs can choose in higher institutions of learning and non- employment of more technical disability-related staff such as sign language interpreters, physiotherapists and braille transcribers to provide support in and out of the classroom to learners with disabilities? (ii) provide a timeline and outline measures that the Government is putting in place to ensure the issues raised in (i) above are dealt with considering that disabled children do not receive the amount and type of attention that they need in order to be able to successfully complete their education?
