The Member for Mombasa County (Hon. Zamzam Mohammed, MP) to ask the Cabinet Secretary for Interior and National Administration: - Could the Cabinet Secretary – (i) explain the action if any the Ministry is taking to control, dismantle, and/or eliminate well- organized and vicious juvenile criminal gangs operating within Kisauni, Likoni and Old Town in Mombasa County, who target local and international tourists by robbing them of their valuables, injuring and even killing some? (ii) outline the long-term interventions that the Government is considering to tackle unending youth criminal gangs in Mombasa County? (iii) state the measures the ministry is taking to address political, social, and economic issues that encourage and motivate young people to join criminal groups and what sustainable initiatives is the Government considering to deter youth from engaging in unlawful activities and improving youth-police relationships?
