John Waluke, MP) to ask the Cabinet Secretary for ICT and the Digital Economy: - Could the Cabinet Secretary – (i) outline the steps that the Data Protection Commission is taking to secure Kenyans from data misuse considering the rising incidences of cybercrime in the country and to ensure speedy intervention and resolution of complaints regarding cyber-attacks? (ii) state if the Ministry has acquired a High-Tech package of digital forensic tools in order to boost identification and connection of perpetrators of abuse of personal information? (iii) explain the plans and mechanisms for securing citizens’ personal information held by critical but high-risk entities like telecommunication companies, commercial banks, schools, hospitals, hospitality industry, law firms and property managers, among others?
