The Member for Lamu East (Hon. Ruweida Obo, MP) to ask the Cabinet Secretary for Information, Communication and the Digital Economy: - (i) Could the Cabinet Secretary explain why Siu, Shanga and Mkokoni in Lamu East Constituency are suffering from digital exclusion by not being connected to the mobile telephone network? (ii) Could the Cabinet Secretary further explain the reasons why the entire Lamu East Constituency is still served by 2G Network when the rest of the country is on 4G Network and is soon transitioning to 5G Network? (iii) What plans does the Ministry have to ensure that Siu, Shanga and Mkokoni areas are connected to the mobile telephone network and that the network coverage in Lamu East Constituency upgraded from the current 2G to 4G?
