Question

The Member for Fafi (Hon. Farah Yakub, MP) to ask the Cabinet Secretary for Interior and National Administration: - Could the Cabinet Secretary – (i) outline the specific actions taken by the Government to enhance the security situation in Fafi Constituency, considering the meager allocation of National Police Reserves (NPR), the limited administrative and divisional infrastructure, and the scarcity of SOG camps? (ii) explain why there is apparent lack of attention from the Ministry concerning the improvement of security roads and airstrips in the Constituency? (iii) clarify whether the Ministry maintains records of abductions by Al-Shabaab in Fafi Constituency and if such records do exist, provide the numbers of abductions and measures taken by the Ministry to ensure the safety of the residents including the safe return of abducted citizens?
