The Member for Isiolo South (Hon. Tubi Bidu, MP) to ask the Cabinet Secretary for Interior and National Administration: - Could the Cabinet Secretary – (i) explain why the Ministry carries out special vetting of ID Card Applications for residents from North Eastern and other border regions of the country when vetting has been carried out by security officers and other leaders in the Counties? (ii) clarify why certain communities in the country are treated differently in application of the IDs despite of them being Kenyans which has led to delays in issuing of IDs and loss of development opportunities for such Communities? (iii) state the measures put in place to ensure that the Government will comply with the Constitution and issue of IDs to Kenyans, irrespective of tribe, race, creed, language, and sex as provided for in Article 12(1)(b) of the Constitution?
