The Member for Saboti (Hon. Caleb Amisi, MP) to ask the Cabinet Secretary for Lands, Public Works, Housing and Urban Development: - Could the Cabinet Secretary – (i) state whether there are plans to relocate the 1,320 households, comprising of 66,000 individuals, who are facing eviction from the 3,000 acre prison land in Kitale, encompassing Kapkoi/Mabonde Block 1 (Ex-Prison) Land, Kitale Municipality Block 11, Kitale Municipality Block 6, Kitale Municipality Block 12, and Kitale Municipality Block 13 and if any compensation will be provided to the evictees? (ii) provide details regarding the ownership status of the aforementioned parcels of land registered under the Registration Act (No. 3 of 2012) under Section 108 and the Registered Land Act (CAP 300) (repealed), clarifying if they are categorized as private or public land? (iii) explain why the residents were not given adequate notice, considering the impact of rendering a substantial number of people homeless and address on the implications for children attending public schools in the same jurisdiction, such as Chetoto Primary School, Kitale School Primary, Top Station Primary, St. Michael Top Station Secondary, Kitale Farm Prison Primary, St. Joseph Primary, Mutambo Primary and Mokoyuet Primary? (iv) clarify whether there are measures for accessibility to medical health centers, including Kephis and Kitale Farm Prison Dispensaries, within the same jurisdiction?
