Simon King’ara, MP) to ask the Cabinet Secretary for Interior and National Administration: - Could the Cabinet Secretary – (i) confirm whether there exist challenges in processing passports and further explain the inordinate delays in issuance of passports? (ii) explain the measures by the Ministry to streamline and expedite the process of releasing passports and other identification documents? (iii) state the total number of people who have applied for passports but are yet to receive them, as well as reasons for the delays and timelines within which the Ministry will issue their passports?
