Question

The Member for Runyenjes (Hon. Muchangi Karemba, MP) to ask the Cabinet Secretary for Roads and Transport: - Could the Cabinet Secretary- (i) state the immediate and long-term measures the Ministry is taking to curb the frequent accidents caused by miraa transport vehicles along the Nairobi- Meru Highway? (ii) outline the actions being taken to ensure that the miraa transport sector complies with the Traffic Act (Cap 403) and prioritises road safety and human life, in line with Article 26 of the Constitution? (iii) highlight on any policy or legislative interventions proposed by the Ministry to regulate the miraa transport sector and hold rogue drivers accountable to the law for endangering public lives?
