Mark Mwenje, MP) to ask the Cabinet Secretary for Roads and Transport: - Could the Cabinet Secretary- (i) state the measures being taken by the government to ensure that work plans tendered under the Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA) and the Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) for the financial year 2024/2025 are not suspended due to lack of funds? (ii) outline the measures being taken to ensure that the delay does not occasion pending bills and other charges that may result from breach of tender agreements? (iii) expound on actions being implemented by KeRRA and KURA to ensure that roads under their jurisdiction which are due for maintenance are not affected by the delay in disbursement of funds?
