The Member for Embakasi West (Hon. Mark Mwenje, MP) to ask the Cabinet Secretary for Energy and Petroleum:- Could the Cabinet Secretary— (i) explain why electric power was disconnected from informal settlements in Nairobi, including City Carton/Alegzin also known as Buruburu Annexe situated in Embakasi West Constituency, as well as Mukuru, Mathare and Korogocho in Nairobi County? (ii) state the measures the Ministry has put in place to ensure reconnection of power to these informal settlements? (iii) provide in detail the total amount of money allocated to the seventeen constituencies within Nairobi County as part of the Rural Electrification Programme in the last two years, along with an account of how these funds were utilized?
