The Member for Fafi (Hon. Farah Yakub, MP) to ask the Cabinet Secretary for Tourism and Wildlife: - Could the Cabinet Secretary— (i) provide details on the number of hirola antelopes that were relocated from Arawale National Reserve to Tsavo National Park in 1996, including the current survival count of hirola antelopes up to the present date? (ii) clarify whether the current population status of the hirola antelopes in Tsavo National Park has shown an increase in number since their relocation and elucidate on the mechanisms implemented to ensure their protection or preservation, considering their endangered status? (iii) outline any initiative by the Government to enhance Arawale National Reserve as a tourist destination, including provision of airstrips, migration roads and other facilities to enable accessibility of the Reserve to tourists? (iv) provide details regarding any compensation efforts extended to residents of Fafi Constituency in relation to human-wildlife conflict and if not do provide any steps taken to compensate the victims of such conflicts in the area?
