Ruweida Obo, MP) to ask the Cabinet Secretary for Information, Communication and the Digital Economy:- Could the Cabinet Secretary— (i) Explain why Siu, Shanga and Mkokoni in Lamu East Constituency are suffering from digital exclusion by not being connected to the mobile telephone network? (ii) Provide reasons on why the entire Lamu East Constituency is still served by a 2G Network when the rest of country is already in transition to a 5G Network while areas that are yet to transition are on a 4G Network? (iii) State actions taken by the Ministry to ensure Siu, Shanga and Mkokoni areas are connected to the Mobile Telephone Network coverage in Lamu East Constituency is upgraded to the 4G Network?
