Esther Passaris, MP) to ask the Cabinet Secretary for the National Treasury and Economic Planning: - Could the Cabinet Secretary— (i) Clarify whether the Ministry has any plans to ensure that the country’s national budget is balanced and that the deficit, if any, is fully covered by grants to halt borrowing? (ii) Highlight the measures by the Ministry to contain the high cost of living and mechanisms of addressing the ever-rising levels of youth unemployment? (iii) State the steps taken to enhance the economy of the country while promoting the ease of doing business and attracting foreign investments for the purpose of improving country’s global ranking on ease of doing business index?
