Mzalendo means Patriot in Swahili. Mzalendo is a volunteer run project whose mission is to “keep an eye on the Kenyan Parliament.” The project was started by two young like-minded Kenyans who were frustrated by the fact that it is difficult to hold Kenyan Members of Parliament (MPs) accountable for their performance largely because information about their work in Parliament is not easily accessible.

Hi! I know My mweshimiwa is not working for me. I come from Tharaka ‘Constituency’ where roads are a dream, Electricity posts are a compain opportunity and umaskini in the District gives the mweshimiwa a big smile since he will by all the mamas salt and the men a cup of marwa and he becomes a winner. I do not call that work. He is building all the nothings and doing all the everythings has he tells my people. The ‘constituency’ development funds to him is a an extended family development fund while to his poor people it is just a name mentioned in the parliament. Just visit the place kama huniamini. I am asking to fear God if he does not fear his people or the law. It is Tharaka not Meru.
yes i concur with u gal, this man or do i call them men “mps” do think they will take us 4 a ride nooo! this cant go on its time 4 us youths 2 show them the way by grabbing the leadership of tharaka otherwise we wont get it on a silver platter.Lets get focussed and avoid being swayed by their archaic kind of wooes otherwise we will end nowhere.
