Great Idea.

What initiatives do they have to tackle deforestation and environmental degradation today and in the future?

(When the answers arrive ofcourse i will looking for the more tangible, visible contributions, oh you need not ask Wangari Maathai this one :)

Not to be presumptive, but after four years of total and utter buffoonery from this bunch, what, pray, of substance can we expect to come out of such questions?

At the very best, it\’s an excercise in futility!

We refuse to be that cynical…at the very worst we start a trend. Using your logic Mzalendo itself is an exercise in futility, no?

No “C” above.

Whispering, the journey of a thao miles starts with a single step, am skeptical too, but i reckon one or two MPs start getting devoted to showing results, might turn the tide.
I\’d like to know what kind of projects they are doing under the CDF funds they receive.

For more info on CDFs, in the meantime, check out www.cdf.go.ke

Oh, no. Don’t get me wrong. If anything, I have spoken strongly against cynicism in a couple of my recent posts. And of course I’ve not missed an opportunity to heap praises on Mzalendo.

What I meant was that there is hardly anything of substance that the current bunch of MPs can tell us that would change the fact that they’ve been complete and total failures.

Hence, we should just vote them out of office. When we elect a new group of competent representatives, then we can ask them all the questions we have and, most likely, they’ll jump at the opportunity to use Mzalendo to serve constituents better.

Of course, the questions are a great initiative and I hope the trend you start blossoms well.

Well, as much as I hate the current situation, I do hope this activity will strike a cord and improve things for future generations.

My question is,

What are their plans (before and after the general elections) regarding national security, freedom of speech (in relation to journalists being denied that right), proper fund management and potential investor proposals that will create jobs to the common mwanainchi?

If you can rephrase it better….:)

Where do they see our country in the future and how do they plan to take it there?

Seems to me, apart from a few individuals, those who become MPs in Kenya are attracted, not by the desire to change the lives of their people, but for great personal gain (Please someone, prove me wrong) and as such, a sure way to change kenya is a massive re-education of the the people on the ground (then they would be in a position not elect a known malfactor). How do we achieve this? If we believe this is the problem, then we know where to apply our energies. There are great minds out there.

All the same, despite my misgivings, my Question is: What is stopping you from providing a means by which your constituents in the diaspora can provide ideas and $$$ to strengthen the CDF?

(i) I would like a breakdown of the non-CDF projects he has initiated.

(ii) I would like to know his vision for tobacco farming in the constituency.

Any chance we can request that MPs provide their attendance records as well as records of trips taken to their constituencies over the last 5 years in the spirit of beginning to be personally responsible? ( I think that this is part of the info that the public would have if we had access to the Hansard but we don’t, right . . . )

I asked on Kp\’s blog
\”Where is William Omondi?\” I haven\’t seen

Thika Road is a nightmare, what initiatives are there to decongest the said road? Or does anyone who lives in Thika Road have to wake up at 5 everyday to avoid jams?

Shiroh, you might want to consider leaving a comment under his profile as well.

Sorry for the weak pseudo, but need to find out a link between registered voters and population growth in each voting ward/ constituency. I think this could lead to some major revelations.

What is the government’s solution to the on-going skirmishes in parts of Nakuru District especially in Njoro? Why is that there are clashes whenever the General Elections are edging near?

can we know whether there is a foolproof audit on cdf. otherwise it will become a campaign funds for mps.

why is the government leaving all the responsibility of how to spent cdf money to the shaking arms of our mps? it is my request to the government to come out with a criteria on selection of the commettee planning for the cdf eg. i would suggest some credible civic leaders, members of cleargy, proffessionals like accauntants, representatives of students in in higher learning institutions.this will ensure fair allocation for the cdf,for instance in masinga constituency little has been done with the cdf. reuben-university of nairobi
